The ground decides the crack

Most failed concrete is a base problem, not a concrete problem. We excavate to depth, bring the base up in compacted layers and check moisture before anything is ordered. On Adelaide's reactive clay that step is the difference between a slab that moves evenly and one that splits in its second summer.

Reinforcement sits where the drawing says

Mesh goes on bar chairs at the specified cover, not dragged up through wet concrete and hoped for. On engineered work we pour to the drawing and leave it exposed for inspection before the truck arrives, so anyone who needs to sign it off can actually see it.

Joints cut on the day, not the week after

Concrete cracks as it shrinks; control joints decide where. We saw-cut to depth as soon as the slab will take a blade, spaced to the panel size rather than to whatever looks even. Cut late and the slab has already chosen its own line.

The finish is matched to the traffic

A burnished warehouse floor, a broomed footpath and an exposed aggregate driveway are three different jobs from the same truck. We agree the finish and the seal before the pour, because the window to change your mind closes about an hour after the concrete lands.
